Bill Clark was born September 19, 1927 in Greenville, North Carolina to the parents of Frank and Kellie Clark. He grew up with his beloved older sister, Evelyn and was later joined by brothers, Haul and Wayne and then the baby, Marlene. Through the years he joined the Merchant Marines and then working successfully as a truck driver. His early Christian upbringing served him well.
Left to cherish his life is brother, Wayne Clark of Greenville, North Carolina; sister, Marlene Clark Goodall of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina and especially his church family and devoted caregiver and friend Patti Pollock.
Bill Clark was married to my mother, Viola Wisner Clark, from 1961 until her death in 1991. He was very good to her and her family all those years, and we appreciated his loving kindness. He could not have been a better stepfather to Eva and Eddie Wisner or grandfather to their children---Steven Hearn and Edie , Michael, Laura, and James Wisner. He treated us like his own and we loved him in return. Rest in peace, dear Bill. We will miss you.
